Charles Muyamwa was one of the Artists in Zambia who wanted to have a regulated Arts playing field.

Like the Sports fraternity, Charles felt the Arts need a body to be created. He began to champion the formation of the National Arts Council of Zambia which today is a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Tourism and Arts.

At the time it was founded it fell under The Ministry of Community Development and Social Services.

Charles died in 2014 January 23rd. Records of him having been the brainchild behind this National Arts Council of Zambia formation have died. But, I remember that there are some people who can attest to that fact.

I would like to have the story told accurately. Charles did a lot for Music and the Arts as a whole.
He is gone but as family we will not forget his works and would like the record set straight.
